It opens nicely to reveal a jeweller scratched interior with numbers as shown

There is a faint wrinkle to the blade and natural colouring and texture to the mother of pearl and a hairline to the side as shown

To the other end is a dog clip

It stands 3 inches high and is in lovely condition with some minor wear to the suit colours and good age related patina

set with shiny black stones inset alternatively to the metal which is likely to be pinchbeck

This is a wonderful match safe or vesta from the Victorian era

and its original coordinating saucer

The hinge is good and he is in very nice antique condition and a very charming piece and of course a useful little box in its own right

To the rear is a moving buckle with two prongs and a maker's mark for famous maker Stokes & Ireland

It has minor scuffing to the exterior and wear to the leather as shown and of course is a useful little box for any purpose
