Using original vintage buffalo nickels, I carefully drill out a hole in the center and use the nickel as a burr for the solid brass hammered rivet. These nickels are not to be confused with the ever so prevalent coin shaped snaps that you see everywhere, those are reproduced and made for the application. My vision for this boot has always been with a plain toe and no speed hooks

100% solid brass hardware all around

and the black nickel plated option will be hand stitched with tonal thread

And so began- Made to order Full Grain Leather Dog Collars

and hand saddle-stitched together with green ritza tiger thread

it is significantly more expensive to manufacture this hardware than the brass version
