Cyclone Larry was a lot stronger than the recent Cyclone Anthony (2011) and the previous Cyclone Justin (1997), with wind gusts of up to 240 kilometres per hour
Her paintings are recognised globally as she has exhibited widely since her art rose to prominence in the 1990s
thus only certain persons can wear them and perform the intended rituals
In 2011 Joel produced the Cyclone series
She has held major exhibitions within Australia and overseas and has been a finalist and winner of a number of art awards
