I wrap the houses with vinyl and apply a clear laminate. Great for indoor or outdoor. When selecting the options for a birdhouse, it can be wrapped on 3 or 4 sides. Bird Feeders have the tray at the bottom for seed

the two holes on the tray is for drainage
