The Cherimoya (Annona cherimola) is close relative to the sugar apple, rollinia, sweetsop and soursop fruits which all belong to the family Annonace. Cherimoya are heavy croppers of large fruit, low seed count and a juicy flesh and are much more cold tolerant then Custard apples (Annona Atemoya).

When young the pods are flat because the seeds have not yet developed

but its hardiness makes it useful it could use this variety to graft onto in colder regions
