Cochineal Bundle Dyed Cotton and Blockprinted Box TopThis fabric is bundle dyed (natural materials in steam) with cochineal and marigolds. Tons of color layers and texture on this textile but it's so hard to see in a photograph. It's then blockprinted with my hand carved poinsettia flower in magenta. 100% Cotton lawn (sheer and light weight) simple box fit stand out tops. Inspired by the Central and South American huipil, the design is meant to display the pattern of the fabric. With my patterns I find

Each student dyes 3 items

Bandanas are given but you are welcome and encouraged to bring in items

Then the piece was hand dyed with golden reactive dye using a low immersion method using the least amount of water

A piece of elastic has been added
