Our strands, cut as rounds are somewhat opaque and powerfully radiant fitting since its name originates from the Greek word for "moon," an allusion to the moon like white reflections of the mineral or to the quality of the light transmitted from the stone.

This prompted an alternative name for the gemstone: Princess Blue

and variation of the amount of iron in the stone creates a color range from reddish purple to deep violet to light lilac
