Here's a width of flavour that's sustained but never explosive - concentrated but with super finesse - that's a super wine

perhaps more precise bouquet than the Clos du Roi

At first I thought it was not as persistent but in fact it is

A fresh purple

much larger in scale

quince jelly and truffle aromas

The ‘classique’ village-level wine from Gouges has a lovely ripe cherry fruit

but under 1%

creamy but with a slice of steel that cuts through it

dense and tight

giving a gentle bounce to this expression with crystalline fruit and lovely mineral edges
