This is a very unique looking bird that live in the marshy areas of SC. This painting is 18"x24" and is framed in a rustic wood frame to complement the warm undertones. I saw these 2 birds one day while walking at a nearby nature sanctuary called the Cypress wetlands

This is the 2nd painting of a series of paintings I will be doing of different plantation roads and other tree lined paths I have come across

Many layers went into those grasses

They are just magnificent and I love to watch them

I will leave that up to you to interpret
